| Uh i lied. It's hard to keep a blog though. Anyways. So my computer is back. It got AIDs... but we found the cure. Im still with my BF...we been together for more than a year. Longest and best relationship ever. Im working two jobs this summer. Im not gonna lie and say life is easy. Its the hardest shit ever for me right now. But I'm dealing with it. I hate discussing my problems tho. Anyways I needa vacation!!! someone pay for a vacation for me!!! | | |
| So on Sunday I didnt go to my church but luckily the Black Christian Group on my campus (impact) through a Gospel Fest for the end of Black History month. It was a small but blessed gathering and I REALLY enjoied the gospel hip hop group they had what I call hyphy hip hop, two members from this group drove from sac town to be there (6 hour drive). Later a pastor preached about how not everything is gospel like "jesus Walks" and craziness like that. But he said that gospel hip hop is good if it completely praises God with no hesitation on "watrered-downess" (i know thats not a word). I totally agreed with him. So later a group of yopung people (i would say 7 or so) got on stage as a group (one who goes to my school, a friend).. and young lady she was really little so Im guessing she's like 13 or 14 ...perhaps 15. Gets up and basically is like "WE ARE SUPPOSED TO SEPARATE OURSELVES FROM THE WORLD, SO HIP HOP HAS NO PLACE IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD" this is all the while the man who rapped is in the audince (front row) with his wife and son. And the minister is also there too. So thwey sang and walked out and so did the man who rapped. Later I find out that all these lil kids attacked (not physically) the man who rapped on stage telling him that it's not Godly and that he's wrong... and blah, blah, blah. I feel that these Super Goldly kids put a damper on the whole program. Also I feel that they only expressed their opinions on the stage and not fact. They say that rap is of the world so therefore it has no place in church. But R and B is of the world and most black gospel is R n B to the tune of "Christianity". Dang, I felt sorry for the dud e being attacked and it just reflected poorly on the whole program and any one that was there just offa pure curiosity was probably turned off to Christianity after witnessing such a freakin' debacle. | | |
| So im back. My boyfriend told me that while he was "scoping me out" he used to read my xanga to learn more about me and just to see what I've done for the day. This was like way back before he was even in my radar. so i agreed that if he keeps one I will keep one. right now I cant think of a subjest to write on my last memory is watching flavor of love on vh1 last night and laughing so hard that it caused me to be very tired and fall asleep. So yea thats that. ill be back... promise. | | |
| Reporting live from Morrow Ga... Im bored Ill admt, but I havent seen my sisters in quite sometime so I am very happy to be here.... We have a nice big GA house and are the first fam to live here so its all sqeeky clean. I got really sick the day or twobefoe I travelled and therefore had the worst ear ache for the entire 5 hour flight. I almost cried. Well actually I did for the first flight to Phoenix cuz I was really frustrated about a personal matter that happened right before I got on the plane... of course it had to do with my older sister. And there was a boooooogie boooogie asss lady who when i weighed my suitcase made me switch around my shit because of an extra 5 pounds, I had 20 minutes to make the fuckin flight. Not to mention the security check point... so my anger from my convo with my older sister and later gettin yelled at by my mom made me have a lightweight nervous breakdown.... but by Go's grace I was the last one on the plane, like laaaast one before thy closed the door... so I was sooooo relieved, sick and angry and tired that i started crying.... luckily it wasnt a long flight an it wasnt full because we were stoppin in Arizona ... so I had my own row and no one saw me crying...lol.. and with that ILLL holla. | | |
| Two 15 page papers to go and then my finals are over with!!! I cannot wait! Okay so this is how it goes down fashion wise during finals week...
